Xi’s visit historic, says Minister Banskota



KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Banskota has said that the recent state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping was historic and significant.

Speaking in a program here today, Minister Banskota shared that the visit also opened the door for Nepal’s development.  He shared that the bilateral agreements signed for the development of various sectors would be gradually implemented.

Minister Banskota, also the spokesperson of the government, argued that the visit left a remarkable footprint. He said people, political parties and other stakeholders also hearty welcomed President Xi.

He said that the mission of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to make the nation land-linked from landlocked status was also supported by the Chinese President’s visit.
