Nepal’s image enhanced by Xi’s visit: CPN



KATHMANDU: The Department of Foreign Affairs of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP)’s has stated that the recent visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping was successful in further enhancing Nepal’s image in the international arena.

The Department in its meeting today reviewed the two-day visit of the Chinese President and concluded that the visit was a success. President Xi visited Nepal on October 12-13 at the friendly invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

According to the Deputy Chief of the Department, Bishnu Rijal, the visit was assessed to be of long-term importance and a milestone for the development of Nepal.

Department Chief Madhav Kumar Nepal said that Nepal had proved its caliber that it could host the Head of the State of one of the powerful countries of the world. Nepal, also former Prime Minister, opined that the Chinese President’s visit had helped enable an environment conducive for investment and augmented international attention and concerns towards Nepal.
