Nepali woman gang-raped in Delhi

MUMBAI: A 22-year-old Nepali woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men at Dwarka area in New Delhi, Indian media reported.

The incident came to the fore after the victim filed a complaint at Oshiwara Police station when she reached Mumbai. The case was subsequently transferred to Delhi Police for further action.

The victim was on her way to Mumbai to meet her brother, said police.

According to the media reports, she had reached Delhi on Saturday by bus and was supposed to take a train to Mumbai. However, she could not reach the station in time and missed her train. The woman was sitting on the platform when four men approached her.

They told her that it was not safe to be there, and took her to Dwarka where they allegedly raped her. The accused then brought her back to the railway station and left her in a Mumbai-bound train.

The woman reached the place where her brother stays and narrated the ordeal to him. He then took her to the Oshiwara Police station and lodged the complaint.
