IGP Khanal leaves for Chile to attend 88th Interpol General Assembly



KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarbendra Khanal has left for Chile to take part in the 88th Interpol General Assembly scheduled for October 15-18 in Chile’s capital city Santiago.

IGP Khanal is accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Niraj Bahadur Shahi at Central Investigation Bureau and Senor Superintendent of Police (SSP) Umesh Raj Joshi, chief at Interpol section.

To be attended by the chief of 194 INTERPOL member states, the Assembly would discuss 19 points issues relating to security measures to be taken by the crime and security sector across the world, according to the police headquarters, Kathmandu.

Following IGP Khanal’s departure, Additional Inspector General of Police Puskar Karki has been assigned to look after the daily administrative affairs of the Nepal Police headquarters.
