Nepali Congress protests at Maitighar denouncing Banke attack

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) on Saturday protested at Maitighar in the Capital demanding the government take action on those assaulting the leaders of the party during an awareness campaign in Banke.

During the protest staged by the district party committees of all the three districts of the Valley, the demonstrators also staged a sit-in for half an hour.

Earlier today, the district Presidents submitted a memorandum to Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa demanding to take action on the culprits manhandling the party’s leaders.

The main opposition party has been accusing the cadres of the ruling Nepal Communist Party of attacking the leaders of the party including the district president in a planned way.
