ILAM: Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said government was committed to working actively for the people. Talking to media persons here this morning, Chairman Dahal viewed that quick change was not realized because of the new system put in place, but government was being result-oriented soon.
He warned that party would face trouble if it entertained groupism. If the party is leader centric and faction centric, it would be damaging to the party life, he said, adding that the party must run on shared responsibility. “I’m not for straining international relations. The views I put on foreign relations was reported in a different manner,” he complained. Also the former Prime Minister, NCP Chairman Dahal reiterated that he wanted to see equal relations with all countries.
The Chairman asserted that it was baseless to state that he spoke against country’s interest and foreign country’s policy. He further argued that constitution writing was possible because of the unity among two communist parties.
At a time when various forces in the country and abroad were trying to frustrate the efforts of second Constituent Assembly to promulgate constitution, the unity between then CPN UML and Maoist Centre made it possible to launch the national charter.
