5 IAF pilots awarded Vayu Sena Medal

NEW DELHI: The five Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots, involved in bombing a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist training camp in Balakot, have been conferred the Vayu Sena Medal.

The IAF pilots had bombed the terrorist training camp in Balakot on February 26 following the Pulwama terror attack of February 14.

Wing Commander Amit Ranjan, Squadron Leaders Pankaj Bhujade, Rahul Basoya, Shashank Singh, and BKN Reddy are being awarded the Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry), Indian media reports have said. They are Mirage-2000 pilots. (Agencies)
