India govt says situation in Kashmir ‘under control’



NEW DELHI: India government has said the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is under control.

A day after authorities said India’s Independence Day would be celebrated in a grand style in Jammu & Kashmir, security has been tightened across the Valley, reports have said.

The government has said it has removed restrictions in a phased manner to avoid loss of human lives. (Agencies)
