Monsoon signals gradual normalization



KATHMANDU: The monsoon which created havoc throughout the country, including the Kathmandu Valley since Friday, today signaled gradual normalization.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon will gradually move back towards the south from Monday. With the monsoon trough will move towards the south, India will now see an active monsoon.

Meanwhile, the country will see light to moderate scale rainfall with general cloudy on Sunday and Monday with the chance of heavy rain at some places.

According to the Division, the Kathmandu Valley received one mm rain today while Pokhara received 37 mm, Biratnagar 12 mm, Nepalgunj 64 mm, Jumla 2 mm, and Dang 20 mm.
