Five-year-old girl raped in Saptari



SAPTARI: A five-year-old girl has been raped in the district. Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy on the charge of committing this heinous crime.

According to police the teenage boy, who had been staying in the maternal uncle’s house, lured the minor girl with biscuits into his room and raped her. The incident took took place last Saturday.

The incident came to the fore after the child’s mother took her to Dharmeshwor Hospital based in Kanchanpur Municipality for treatment.

The child’s mother had informed the police after the doctor suspected rape.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the culprit into custody, said DSP Makendra Kumar Mishra of Area Police Office, Kanchanpur.
