BANEPA: The Mandandeupur municipality in Kavrepalanchwok decided to ban the entry of tractors and tippers inside the municipal area for the next three months.

The decision to this effect has been made considering the under-construction road project. A meeting of the local government on June 9 agreed to ban on heavy vehicles beginning from June 16.

The local government on Friday issued a public notice informing the decision. The local government has also decided to impose a fine of Rs. 25,000 for a tipper and Rs 15,000 for tractor violating the decision.

The municipality has, however, informed that trucks or tippers can be operated if they seek prior approval from the municipality for work purpose.
