Dengue may go epidemic, warns experts

KATHMANDU: The experts have warned that the dengue might reach epidemic proportions in the country since the cases of dengue were seen before monsoon.

Dengue cases were diagnosed first in Dharan this year. Now gradually it has spread to Morang and Jhapa.

“Earlier, dengue would be seen around the time of Dashain and Tihar after mosoon. But its cases were found before monsoon,” said Dr Sher Bahadur Pun of Teku Hospital.

The dengue might spread at any time in those areas where mosquitoes are found.
