NCP not responsible for cabinet’s decision: Nepal



KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Madhav Kumar Nepal said the party would not take responsibility for the cabinet’s decision to prohibit the Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led party’s activities.

Talking to Khabarhub, Nepal informed that the government did not consult the NCP while taking the decision. “The decision to ban the activities of Biplav-led party was taken by the government unilaterally. Hence, the part will not be responsible for any consequences to be resulted in by the decision.

Meanwhile, Nepal urged the government not to take any decisions in haste and hold talks with concerned parties prior to making any decisions.

“It is the duty of the government to maintain law and order in the country,” added Nepal.
