‘Lumbini House’ built with US assistance handed over to NA

KATHMANDU:  The International Accommodation Block (‘Lumbini House’) built with $1.9 million in US assistance has been handed over to Nepal Army (NA).

Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs Randall Schriver visited Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre, Panchkhal and handed over the building on Friday.

Speaking at the dedication ceremony, Schriver said the newly-built ‘Lumbini House’ is a testament to the United States’ deep appreciation and respect for Nepal’s contribution to global peacekeeping efforts.
