PM Oli, leader Nepal hold talks to settle dispute

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Oli and NCP senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal held one-on-one talks.

According to the sources, at the meeting that lasted for some four hours at the prime minister’s residence in Baluwatar, the leaders tried clear the air amidst reports of a ‘hateful’ relation between them.

The source added that the prime minister said leader Nepal that some forces were playing to create hatred between them.

Leader Nepal had been expressing discontent with Oli for ‘unilaterally’ deciding on the party unification and political appointments.

It was reported that the prime minister had refused to get well soon wishes from leader Nepal during a Secretariat meeting party of the party some three months ago.
