NC President Deuba meets Bangladesh President Hamid

KATHMANDU: Visiting Bangladeshi President Mohammad Abdul Hamid on Wednesday met Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the issues of bilateral relations, economic cooperation among others, according to NC leader Dr. Narayan Khadka.

The President of the main opposition prioritized trade, connectivity, construction of hydropower and purchase of electricity among other issues during the courtesy call.

In reply, the Bangladeshi President expressing his desire to invest in Nepal said that his country was ready to purchase electricity from Nepal.

Leading a 52-member delegation at the invitation of President Bhandari, Hamid arrived in Nepal on Tuesday.
