17 injured in road accident in Udayapur

UDAYAPUR: Seventeen people have been injured, two critically, when a mini truck met with an accident at Katari municipality-5 in Udayapur on Sunday.

The Area Police Office Katari said that the mini truck — Ba 3 Kha 7301 — en route to Katari met with the accident near Katari.

Kalpana BK, 30, of Itahari sub metropolis-10 and Bina BK, 20, of Katari-10 are said to be serious. They were referred to Biratnagar.

The driver has been absconding since the accident. Police have launched a search has to arrest him, police said.
