Typhoon Hagibis: Nepalis in Japan are safe and sound



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Embassy in Tokyo has stated that Nepalis in Japan are safe and sound as Typhoon Hagibis made landfall south of Tokyo on Saturday and moved northward killing seven people.

Deputy Chief of Mission at Nepali Embassy Krishna Chandra Acharya said that the embassy has been reported that Nepalis are safe till 11 pm on Saturday night.

“We are in close contact with the Nepali community in Japan,” he said.
