Traders call for easy access at transit points to China



KATHMANDU: The Nepal National Traders Federation has demanded easy access to traders in various transit points to neighboring China.

Issuing a statement here on Saturday in course of the State visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping, the traders have called for easy entry in order to further consolidate and sustain trade between the two countries.

Presently, only the locals of the districts neighboring the transit points are provided the entry pass based on their citizenship certificate.

Chair of the Federation Naresh Katwal also said multiple entries VISA should be issued for the Nepali traders as Nepal imports many goods from China. The federation has also called for the provision of a temporary pass in order to release goods coming to Nepal from China.
