US Embassy grants visa to Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane



KATHMANDU: The United States (US) Embassy in Kathmandu on Tuesday granted a visa to Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, finally.

The Embassy called him on Tuesday and provided him with the visa, it has been reported. Earlier, the Embassy had rejected his application.

“Finally, all the issues have been sorted out. Thanks to @USEmbassyNepal for your kind cooperation. Big thanks to all the well-wishers and concerned person for putting the valuable efforts. @USAmbNepal @PM_Nepal @PradeepgyawaliK @hello_sarkar @MofaNepal @CPL@BIMTridents,” Lamichhane said in a tweet after his visa application was accepted.

Lamichhane had applied for a visa to participate in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019 set to begin from September 4, 2019, in the West Indies.

After his visa application was rejected, Lamichhane had taken to social media mentioning Hello Sarkar, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
