27,830 cops mobilized for rescue, relief



KATHMANDU: Some 27,830 police personnel have been mobilized for rescue and relief following floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall that has already claimed 30 lives.

According to Nepal Police, 8,853 cops have been mobilized in Kathmandu Valley alone, 6,305 in State 1; 5,702 in State 2; 3,405 in State 3 and 3,112 in Karnali State.

Some 133 persons hit by floods and landslides have been rescued.
