Agitating doctors postpone protest for 15 days



KATHMANDU: Government Doctor’s Association of Nepal (GODAN) on Saturday postponed its protest for 15 days following the government’s commitment to address their demands within the timeframe.

With the decision, government hospitals will resume their services from tomorrow.

GODAN President Deependra Pandey told Khabarhub that they took the decision following talks held at Ministry for Health and Population today.

Expressing disagreement over the government’s program to adjust government doctors under the federal structure, agitating doctors had closed all services except emergency at the government hospitals since last Friday.

Patients were hit-hard following the closure of services at the government hospitals.
