COAS Invitational Women’s Football Tournament from Dec 15



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army is to host the 7th edition of the COAS invitational international women’s football tournament from coming December 15.

Two foreign and six local including three departmental teams will be taking part in the competition to be organized in coordination with All Nepal Football Association.

The participating teams include Sikkim football club of India and Bhutanese football team from abroad and local teams Nepal Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Armed Police Force Club, province no. 1, province no. 2 and province no. 3 teams, according to information shared at a press meet held by the NA at its headquarters today.

The tournament will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis and the winner team will walk home with Rs. 300,000 in prize money. The runner-up will get Rs. 150,000 while the semi-finalists will bag Rs. 50,000 each. The matches will be played at the NA headquarters ground and Lagankhel football ground.

The tournament kicks off with a match between TAC and Province no. 1 at the NA headquarters ground on December 15. The final match will be held on December 24.
