MAKAWANPUR: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that his party was ready to support the Nepal Communist Party-led government in its efforts to safeguard Nepal’s territorial integrity.

Speaking at a program in Hetauda today, Poudel said that NC has already made clear its position about the controversy surrounding the new political map released by India at the all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister KP Oli hosted on Saturday.

Poudel said his party has made its stance clear on the issue. “We have told him (PM) to take diplomatic initiatives to address the issue,” Poudel said.

On the occasion, NC senior Poudel said that the government needs to talk with India about the issue at the earliest rather than making unnecessary statements in the capital.
