Bhutanese national arrested with two kilos silver



KATHMANDU: A Bhutanese national was arrested with two kilograms silver at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) last night.

A team of the Metropolitan Police at the TIA Security Office arrested Garab Dorje, 51, possessing a Bhutanese passport G 128932 while he was about to board Druk Air.

Dorje was arrested during a routine security check, according to Shyam Lal Gyawali, spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari.

Police seized 14 pieces of silver from him.

He has been sent to the TIA Customs Office along with the silver for necessary investigation.
