13 commercial banks to allot dividend

KATHMANDU: Over a dozen commercial banks have decided to allot dividends to shareholders from the profits made during the previous fiscal year 2018/19.

NMB Bank is proving a 35 percent (21 percent bonus and 14 percent cash) dividend per share. Similarly, Global IME Bank is set to allot a 12.75 percent bonus and 12.75 percent cash dividend per share.

Likewise, Janata Bank, which is preparing to merge with Global IME, is allotting a 12 percent dividend.

Prabhu Bank is allotting a 16 percent dividend. It will be effective once it is decided officially by the general meeting slated for November 22.

Civil Bank is set to allot 6.57 percent dividend, Mega Bank 11.75 percent, Standard Charted Bank 22.50 percent, Sunrise Bank 15.5 percent, Siddhartha 25.26 percent.

Similarly, Nabil Bank is allotting 34 percent of dividend, Nepal Bangladesh Bank 12 percent, Laxmi Bank 15 percent and Everest Bank 25 percent of dividend per share in the banks.
