HONG KONG: Several schools and universities in Hong Kong have remained closed today over safety fears as demonstrators called for a day of traffic disruptions.

Several train lines have been delayed or suspended as police search passengers.

On Tuesday, riot police entered some universities. They also fired tear gas in one university to disperse students.

On Monday, one protestor was shot by police while another man was set on fire. Both of them are in critical condition in hospital, international media reports have said. (Agencies)
