MoFA issues strict guidelines for banquet participants



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoHA) has issued seven-point guidelines for dignitaries attending the banquet given to Chinese President Xi Jinping by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari in Hotel Soaltee.

The invited dignitaries have been strictly asked to follow the MoFA instructions.

The MoFA has asked gents participants to compulsorily wear dark black suits or national dress, white shirt, black shoes with laces while it has instructed the ladies to wear either national dress or dark black suit.

The MoFA has also urged the participants to respond whether he/she would participate in the banquet or not to ensure seating arrangements.

The participants are also instructed to enter the banquet hall 45 minutes earlier along with the invite.

The MoFA has also urged all participants to switch-off their mobile phones. It has also prohibited the participants to take pictures inside the hall.

Likewise, the participants have been urged not to eat before the chief guest starts eating.

Participants are also urged not to stand or leave the hall under any circumstances while the dinner is going on.

The guests have to be given priority, MOFA has said.
