Sita Air aircraft suffers bird hit

KATHMANDU: An aircraft of Sita Air that took off from Manthali Airport to Lukla made an emergency landing at Manthali Airport after it suffered a bird hit.

DSP Santosh Bhattarai at District Police Office, Ramechhap said that the aircraft returned to Manthali Airport after a flock of birds hit the wingspan of the aircraft.

The twin otter aircraft with 13 passengers and three crew members on board made an emergency landing to avert a possible accident.
