At least 87 flights to be affected during Xi’s visit to Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) authorities have said the airport will be shut down for around three hours from 2:55 pm in the afternoon till 5:25 pm on Saturday.

The decision has been made in view of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s two-day state visit to Nepal beginning today.

A total of 33 flights will be affected during the closure.

Likewise, the TIA will also be closed for commercial flights from 11:20-1:50 on Sunday. Around 54 flights will be affected during this period.
