Uzbekistan beats Nepal 3-2 in Nadezhda Cup final



KATHMANDU: Nepal has been forced to settle as a runner-up of Nadezhda Cup.

In the final match played at Central Stadium in Karakol, Kyrgyz Republic on Thursday, Uzbekistan defeated Nepal by 3-2 goals.

Nepal was behind by 3-0 goals in the first half. In the second half, Nepal scored both the goals courtesy to Sabitra Bhandari. Bhandari scored at the 67th minute of the game while the second goal was scored on a penalty.

Nepal took part in the tournament as part of the preparations for the South Asian Games (SAG) that is happening in Nepal later this year.
