Monsoon to be active for another three days



KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecasted rainfall for another three days throughout the country.

Meteorologist Raju Pradhananga said monsoon trough, which has just started shifting towards the north, will result in the possibility of increased rainfall for the next few days.

He said that the wind originated from the Bay of Bengal with water vapor has pushed the monsoon activities.

“Don’t expect continuous rainfall,” he said. According to him, the country will witness rainfall followed by sunshine, and the pattern will go on.

According to the Division, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the last 24 hours throughout the country.

It said that the country will witness light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning with chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places.

The Division has also said it is likely that there can be a sudden rise in the flow of waters in the rivers where heavy rainfall has been predicted.

It has asked people concerned to be cautious.
