One electrocuted to death, two injured in Mahottari



MAHOTTARI: A person was electrocuted to death while two others sustained injuries in Ekdara Rural Municipality in the district.

The deceased has been identifiable as 49-year-old Siyaram Thakur of Ekdara Rural Municipality-4, Chakwagaun, said SP Shyam Krishna Adhikari of District Police Office, Mahottari.

Other injured include 17-year-old Suresh Thakur, son of Siyaram, and Pujakumari (daughter). They are undergoing treatment at District Hospital, Jaleshwor.

According to Adhikari, Suresh and Pujakumari sustained juries when they rushed to rescue their father being electrocuted. Siyaram came into contact with the naked wire that was lying in the courtyard last night.
