Import begins through Tatopani checkpoint

SINDHUPALCHOWK:  Tatopani checkpoint  has come into operation almost after four years. The renovation of damaged the infrastructure and roads had been renovated one month ago.

A total of 10 container vans have arrived in Kathmandu since the operation a week ago while four others are awaiting check pass at the dry port at the checkpoint, said Customer Officer Keshab Raj Oli.

Devastating Gorkha earthquake of 2015 had completely damaged the infrastructure of Tatapani checkpoint and roads. The important custom point had been officially brought into operation on June 9.
