KATHMANDU: Most parts of Biratanagar have been inundated due to periodic monsoon rains.  Koshi Zonal Hospital has been waterlogged.

Medical shops and the administrative block have been affected after the floods entered the hospital building. Some settlements and markets areas have been waterlogged.

Patients visiting hospital have also been hit. Over 1,000 patients come to hospital for treatment on a daily basis at the Koshi Zonal Hospital, which is the biggest hospital in Province 1.

Meanwhile, Painma of Tribeni Municipality-9 of Bajura district has been at risk of floods after landslides blocked Budhiganga River. Landslides have been taking place due to torrential monsoon that has been continuing since Wednesday evening, said locals.

Vehicles for short and long routes have been stationed at Balde for the fear that the Sanfe-Martadi road section would blocked.
