India sides with Israel against Palestinian NGO

UNITED NATIONS: India voted in favor of a decision introduced by Israel in the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) that objected to granting consultative status to a Palestinian non-governmental organization.

India, in a rare move, sided with Israel at a time when the Jewish state asserted the organization did not disclose its ties with Hamas.

At ECOSOC meeting, Israel introduced  the draft decision “L.15” on June 6 titled “Application of the non-governmental organization Palestinian Association for Human Rights.
