NEW DELHI: The sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections in India concluded today with an overall voting percentage at 50.74 percent till 4 pm today, Indian media reports said.
Voting started across 59 constituencies in six states at 7 am today. Polls in all the seven seats of Delhi went through peacefully. However, polling in West Bengal was marred by scattered incidents of violence, according to reports.
Meanwhile, some EVM-related glitches were reported from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
Polling went fairly decent in all six states including Haryana (10 seats), Uttar Pradesh (14 seats), Madhya Pradesh (8 seats), Bihar (8 seats), and Jharkhand (4 sears) today.
The results of the Lok Sabha election 2019 will be declared on May 23. Likewise, the counting of the votes will begin on May 23. (Agencies)
