Vladimir Putin is the president of Russia and one of the most famous leaders of the twenty-first century. He was born in Leningrad, Russian SFSR. He studied law at Leningrad State University, graduating in 1975.

Putin was a KGB foreign intelligence officer for 16 years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before resigning in 1991 to enter politics in Saint Petersburg.

During his first presidency, the Russian economy grew for eight straight years, and GDP measured in purchasing power increased by 72%. The growth was a result of the 2000s commodities boom, recovery from the post-Communist depression and financial crises, and prudent economic and fiscal policies.

1. He was born in a poor family. His father’s name was Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin and his mother’s name was  Maria Ivanovna Shelomova.

2. His wife’s name is Lyudmila Shkrebneva (Putina). He has two daughters with Lyudmila, whose names are Yekaterina Putina and Mariya Putina.

3. Not only Judo, he even learned Samozashchita Bez Oruzhiya – a Russian martial art.

4. Putin is very fond of dogs and the animal lover.

5. Putin has a $1 billion estate at the black sea.

6.Putin is a Musician and love American literature

7. He is good at fishing.

8.Putin loves photography.

9. Putin believes that the West is afraid of Russia.
