President Bhandari congratulates SAG athletes



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has congratulated the Nepali athletes who won medals in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).

She has expressed gratitude to the players and officials of all the countries participating in the SAG.

President Bhandari also thanked all the concerned officials, people and bodies including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Nepal Olympic Committee, the National Sports Council, referees, judges and instructors for making the 13th SAG a success.

She stated that South Asia’s mega sports event has further deepened the relations among the South Asian nations and peoples.

The 13th SAG, which was held in Nepal concluded on Tuesday.

Nepal won a total of 206 medals including 51 gold, 60 silver and 95 bronze medals in the 13th SAG placing itself the second position in the medals table.
