Sita Air to operate flights to Suketar, Lamidanda

BIRATNAGAR: Sita Air is set to operate flights from Bhadrapur and Biratnagar to Suketar and Lamidanda from December 15.

This initiative of Sita Air targets the Visit Nepal Year, 2020, and is expected to help attract hundreds of tourists to Pathivara Temple, a tourist destination, said managing director of Sita Air, Rajendra Bahadur Singh.

The Air operates flights between the routes once a week, and it manages helicopter tours from Suketar and Lamidanda airports for those who want to visit and worship at Halisi and Pathivara temple, he said.

Helicopter tours are provided by Mountain Helicopter on the Air’s initiatives. It costs Rs 23,000 per person for those wanting to opt for a package tour, said Singh.

Hotel entrepreneurs and operators of travels and tours of Halesi and Pathivara areas have been encouraged by this initiative of Sita Air and are expected of a large influx of tourists to the areas, said local hotel entrepreneur Bhabishya Shrestha.
