Modi-Xi to hold one-to-one talks

TAMIL NADU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are scheduled to meet today in Tamil Nadu’s coastal town of Mamallapuram in what has been dubbed as an ‘informal summit’.

Modi and Xi are meeting for the second ‘informal summit’ in a year.

PM Modi will take President Xi to some iconic monuments including the Mamallapuram — Arjuna’s Penance, the Shore temple and Panch Rathas at 5 pm today, Indian media reports have said.

The two leaders then are scheduled to witness a cultural program at the temple complex.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, they will have a one-on-one meeting at the Fisherman’s Cove resort followed by delegation-level talks.
