Security alert issued in Delhi



NEW DELHI: Authorities have instructed the security forces to be on high alert ahead of Independence Day on August 15, Indian media reports have said.

The security agencies have cautioned the Delhi Police about possible attack on the Red Fort in Delhi. The agencies said it is likely that a terrorist attack may take place near Red Fort.

Security agencies have rendered around 17 places in Delhi as sensitive, reports have said.

Likewise, a security alert has been issued in all airports, including in Delhi. (Agencies)
