North Korea dismisses talks with South due to drills

SEOUL: North Korea has dismissed the possibility of talks with South Korea protesting the South Korea-US military drills.

Meanwhile, North’s leader Kim Jong Un on Sunday inspected a test of a new weapon, state media KCNA has said.

On Saturday, North Korea fired two short-range missiles — fifth within two weeks. South Korea and the US engaged in largely computer-simulated small-scale exercises on Saturday that North Korea calls a ‘rehearsal for war’. (Agencies)
