Three health camps established for Gosaikunda pilgrims



RASUWA: Health camps have been set up in three different locations for the health facilities of the pilgrims going to attend the Gosaikunda fair. The health camps have come into operation from Saturday.

Primary health care services are now available in Cholangpati, Chandanbari and at Gosaikunda, according to the chair of Gosaikunda area development committee Sanjib DM. The Himalayan Rescue Association, Nepali Army and Patan Hospital, Lalitpur are running the camps respectively.

All primary first aid as well as rescue arrangements have been made considering that a large number of people would come to the fair in Gosaikunda, located at an altitude of 14,100 feet from the sea level, while around 15,000 may travel up to the Niladri mountain, added Chair DM.

The rescue and medical treatment facility will be available on the day of Janai poornima i.e. August 15. Likewise, food and accommodation facilities have been made from Tiwari bagar to Gosaikunda, in 85 temporary shelters and the existing 17 concrete hotels.

Furthermore, a stringent arrangement has been made for the security of the travelers, with additional security personnel on duty, said police inspector at the district police office, Om Prasad Wagle.
