KATHMANDU: A person died after a car hit a scooter at Lazimpat in the capital this morning, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Bhim Bahadur Gurung. The accident occurred when a car hit the scooter bearing registration number Ba 93 Pa 2050 heading toward Maharajgunj at 2.00 this morning. Santosh Magar of Syangja has been injured in the accident.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh Rathor said Gurung died on the spot when the speeding car knocked down his scooter.
Injured Gharti is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu. Police have been searching for the car.
