PM Oli in hospital for dialysis



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has reached the Maharajgunj-based Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre on Tuesday evening.

The prime minister reached the center for dialysis, according to Press Advisor to PM Oli, Surya Thapa.

Earlier, an Intensive Care Unit of the center was vacated for the prime minister.

PM Oli is currently under doctors’ monitoring after being discharged on Thursday afternoon after ten days of his admission.

PM Oli, who had gone to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on November 26 for a checkup, underwent an operation for appendicitis the same day after he needed an immediate operation.

He received treatment at the Intensive Care Unit at the center during his stay at the hospital. PM Oli also underwent dialysis for his kidney as the kidney that was transplanted some 12 years ago has stopped functioning properly.

Doctors attending to the prime minister said that he will undergo regular dialyses.
