Land Minister pledges sustainable management for unsystematic settlement

KATHMANDU: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal, has assured the issue of unsystematic settlement would get a sustainable management.

Inaugurating a two-day international symposium on ‘capacity enhancement; academic research and expansion’ organized by the Land Management Training Center, Dhulikhel here today, the Minister shared the government was working to find long-term management to the unsystematic settlement issue.

“The Ministry is on the process of modernizing service delivery mechanism by maintaining good governance in the area of land administration. The government is committed to ensuring easy accessibility to geographical information required for the development.”

She took time to say that the use of new technology, new approach and research in mapping and land management would help materialize the slogan – ‘prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali’.
