105th birth anniversary of ‘Iron Man’ Ganesh Man Singh being marked



KATHMANDU: The 105th birth anniversary of Nepali Congress (NC) founding leader and ‘Iron Man’ Ganesh Man Singh is being celebrated organizing different programs on Sunday.

NC and its sister organizations are organizing different programs to mark the day. A bust of the late leader was garlanded at Shobha Bhagwati in the city this morning.

Likewise, an assembly will be held at 1 pm in Gyaneshwor and Nepal Student Union will organize a candlelight vigil at Shanti Batika at 5 pm this evening.

Born on Kartik 24, 1972 BS, leader Singh had passed away on Asoj 2, 2054 BS.

He was jailed for a long time by the then regimes for his involvement in the movement for establishing democracy in the country.
