POKHARA: A Portuguese handball coach is in Pokhara to train the Nepalis handball team for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) to be held in Pokhara.
Nepal’s handball team is undergoing practice for the 13th SAG. Portuguese Juan Florencio has joined the team as the Chief Coach for the next three months, according to Tej Bahadur Gurung, the President of Nepal Handball Association.
Florencio, who is here in Nepal at the invitation of the Association, has started coaching the Nepali handball team from Thursday.
Both male and female national handball teams are under closed-door training at the Handball Academy at Pokhara Sports Stadium for the 13th SAG, which is taking place in Nepal from December 1 to 10 this year.
