Chinese FM Wang, NCP Chair Dahal discuss enhancing bilateral ties

KATHMANDU: Visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday held a meeting with Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

NCP Chairman Dahal told journalists that their discussion focused on further enhancing the age-old friendly bilateral ties between Nepal and China.

According to him, they also discussed the prospective visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Nepal.

Dahal said the meeting mainly focused on further enhance bilateral friendly cooperation between Nepal and China. He said even the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang was ‘positive’ to further enhance the age-old bilateral tied between the two countries.

Dahal said he was optimistic that China would increase its economic assistance to Nepal in future.

Likewise, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang also held a meeting Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba this morning.

Meanwhile, the Chinese foreign minister visited the Bhaktapur Durbar Square this morning.

Wang is returning home after completing a three-day visit to Nepal today.
